Faculties
The Faculty is the structure which coordinates academic activities and University development with respect to the specific disciplinary areas. Within the framework of resolutions made by the University’s governing bodies and with respect for the autonomy and needs expressed by the various research and teaching organisations, the faculties are responsible for planning the use of available human and material resources and establishing, together with other faculties, degree programmes that are in accordance with current national legislation.
The Dean of the Faculty is a permanent Full Professor who serves in this role for four years. The Dean represents the Faculty; convenes and presides over the Faculty’s Council and Committee; implements the resolutions passed by the Faculty Council; carries out various initiative and coordination functions; and conducts supervisory activities in accordance with the parameters set out in the University’s general regulations.
