Specific admission requirements and specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning

Access to the Master’s Degree Course in Consulting and Coordination of Educational Interventions is open to applicants in possession of class L/19 Degrees in Education (or to previous corresponding class) or other suitable qualification (DM 270/04, Art. 6, paragraph 2). Holders of a 3-year Bachelor Degree may qualify to enroll if at least 60 ECTS credits are in the following scientific disciplinary sectors(ssd): pedagogical M-Ped, psychological M-PSI, sociological SPS / (7-12), philosophical M-Fil and historical M-Sto; 12 of the 60 credits must come from be in the pedagogy sector (M-Ped /).

Profile of the programme

Graduates of the Master’s Degree Course deepen, both theoretically and through methodology, knowledge and skills in pedagogy and human sciences, to promote and plan educational and formative interventions, in the "learning society".

Qualification requirements and regulations

The degree program lasts two years, for a total of 120 ECTS credits, and is divided into semesters.  Every year, 57 and 63 credits are achieved for a total of 120 in the 2-year period, as per degree courses legislation which states that more credits are attributed during the last year for the preparation of the thesis. Key learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding

Graduates of the degree course deepen theoretical knowledge and skills at epistemological, disciplinary and methodological levels, in both pedagogical and educational sciences, and in the psychological, sociological, philosophical, historical, demo-ethno-anthropological fields. Graduates analyze and understand cultural processes. They deepen knowledge, skills and methodologies in the areas of intercultural, differently-abled, education and cultural formation.

Applying knowledge and under standing

Graduates of the degree course enhance practical, relational, operational and applicable skills to understand problematic individual and group situations in the community. They compare theoretical and practical aspects, design and discuss, with high professionalism, solutions and implement educational and formative intervention actions in accordance with the knowledge, skills and methods acquired.

Making judgements

Graduates strengthen the capacity to analyze and develop interpretative models and the demand for individual and group formation emerging from the territory; identify autonomous solutions and original lines of research at the epistemological, anthropological, ethical and socio-cultural levels while in constant relationship between the degree course, institutions and economic and cultural environments.

Communication skills

Graduates deepen planning, building and operating skills in communication models concerning ideas and solutions in relation to specialists and non-specialists of the educational and formative sectors. They use English at a high level and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in the field of education and formation. They will possess the ability to establish relationships with the territory.

Learning skills

Graduates will develop the ability to acquire in-depth knowledge and think critically to undertake, with a high degree of autonomy, studies and research, also original, in education and formation. Through actions, they will develop planning skills.

Examination regulations, assessment and grading

All courses included in the curriculum provide a final oral exam; on-going exams may also be called for.

Graduation requirements

Students are admitted to the final examination once all credits required in the curriculum, and passed, have been met. The final examination consists of a written thesis on a specific subject or on the basis of a significant and defining experience during student placements and internships.

Mode of study (full-time, part-time, e-learning, ...)

Full-time study; 75% attendance of all lectures is compulsory. 

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples

Graduates will be able to practice as pedagogical consultants for individuals and groups in educational facilities (public and private) for minors and young people, intervene from childhood to adult continuing education, consult and coordinate educational and formative activities of cultural and intercultural programmes, in the public and private sectors and in the widest territorial context possible; provide consulting activities in the promotion of educational and formative choices  in the premises of culture. Graduates can participate in competitions organized by public and private bodies.

Access to further studies

Graduates may access the teacher training in "Philosophy, Psychology and Educational Sciences" (cl. 36 A), according to current legislation. May also access master and specialization courses and Doctoral schools.
