Language courses
At the Università degli Studi di Perugia the official language of instruction is Italian. Courses are taught only in Italian, we therefore strongly advise students to have a good command of Italian (B1 level), or alternatively, to attend an Italian language course before beginning courses at the university. This will give students the opportunity to gain the maximum academic and linguistic benefit from their time in Perugia.
Some students may opt to take a language course in their home country but for those who wish to participate in an Italian language course, here in Perugia, we highly recommend the following institution:
Centro Linguistico d'Ateneo (CLA)
The CLA (Language Centre of the Università degli Studi di Perugia) offers to the international students the possibility of attending Italian Language Courses of a variety of levels and course lengths. These courses provide students with the linguistic knowledge they may need to profitably attend university classes and successfully pass exams, therefore obtaining valuable credits.
