General structure of plant. Cell wall, plastids, vacuole. Plant tissues: meristems, epidermis, parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma, secretory tissues, xylem and phloem.
Morphology and anatomy of stem, leaf, and root and morphological adaptations. The vegetative and sexual reproduction.Cyanophyta, Algae, Bryophyta, Pteridophyta, Spermatophyta.

Educational objectives
Knowledge of general structure of plants, cell wall, plastids, vacuole and plant tissues. Identification of anatomy of stem, leaf, and root and morphological adaptations. Knowledge of plant reproduction and main Taxa.

Knowledge of Cytology and Histology.

General structure of plant organisms. Organization of plant organisms: unicellular plants, cell aggregates, cell colonies, filamentous thalli, pseudo-parenchimatic thalli, Cormophyta.
Morphology and physiology of stem, leaf and root. Morphological adaptations of stem, leaf and root to different environmental conditions.
The plant cell. Cell wall, plastids, vacuole. Plant tissues: meristems and cellular differentiation; the mature tissues systems: epidermis, parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma, secretory tissues, xylem and phloem.
Morphology and anatomy of stem, leaf and root. Primary and secondary structure. The vegetative and sexual reproduction. Cyanophyta, Algae, Bryophyta, Pteridophyta, Spermatophyta.
