Nutritional and dietary aspects of internistic disorders with special reference to obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis, hematologic and hemostasis and thrombosis disorders, renal, cardiac and hepatic

The teacher will prepare the didactic materials on the basis of the scientific literature available on the specific topics. Accordingly, participation to the teacher's lessons is essential. On specific topics, references to specific articles or textbooks will be provided.
Educational objectives
Knowledge of the key clinical elements of disease in internal medicine in order to be able to establish a proper preventive and therapeutic approach focused on nutritional aspects.

Physiology, hygiene
Teaching methods
Didactic activity will be mainly based on face-to-face lessons using Power Point slides. Seminars held by psychologists or medical specialists, on the psychological aspects of medical disorders.
Other information
The attendance of at least 80% of the lessons is strongly recommended in order to allow a good understanding of the arguments in the absence of a reference textbook. Didactic materials presented during classes will be made available after the lessons.
