Assessment and diagnosis paths. Examples through presentation of clinical cases.
- Focus: reflection on the current organizational and cultural structures of the services that deal with protection and care, based on the most recent studies on interpersonal trauma and its consequences in the growth, to encourage the adoption of a trauma-oriented perspective.

Educational objectives The course is an introduction to Clinical Psychology
Aims:
Preliminary knowledge for clinical practice
1. Promote a psychological vision of psychic suffering
2. Solicit clinical reasoning and complex "case" approach
3. Provide the basic elements related to the reception, the analysis of the demand, the structuring of the setting, the preparation of the assessment
Prerequisites In order to be able to understand and to know how to tackle the course, students must have the basic notions of the theoretical psycologist
This precondition is valid both for attending and not attending students.

Ample space will be given to examples and classroom exercises
Learning verification modality For the examination, reference should be made to the proposed bibliography and the material offered during the course.
The exam is a written examination with 3 open questions aimed at verifying the conceptual mastery acquired by the student regarding the topics covered during the course, in addition to the skills of analysis, synthesis and integration of knowledge. For those who want, upon communication at the time of registration to the examination, the exam can be taken orally.

Contents The present course aims at provide a fundamental knowledge on clinical psychology and its field, including the role of clinical psychologist, diagnostic reasoning, and clinical process.

Educational objectives This is an introductory course to the Clinical Psychology field. The main aim is to offer both theoretical and methodological skills in order to better understand the characteristics of several clinical approaches.
Prerequisites Basic knowledge of general psychology and basic competence on the main psychological models of human mind.
