Other information
The course presents the theoretical references and sociological analysis to interpret the birth, diffusion and changes of the tourist phenomenon. In particular, we will deepen the knowledge of the tourist figure and his behavior no longer traceable to a single model of interpretation. The characters of the trip and the social relationships deriving from it will be described as well as the relationship between tourists and residents. Particular attention will be paid to the new relationship between work time and free time with reference to the most recent forms of tourism such as that of food tourism.

Il corso presenta i riferimenti teorici e di analisi sociologica per interpretare la nascita, la diffusione ed i mutamenti del fenomeno turistico. In particolare si approfondirà la conoscenza della figura del turista e dei suoi comportamenti non più ricondicibili ad un unico modello interpretativo. Verranno descritti i caratteri del viaggio e i rapporti sociali che ne derivano nonchè la relazione tra turisti e residenti. Particolare attenzione sarà riservata al nuovo rapporto tra tempo di lavoro e tempo libero con riferimento alle più recenti forme di turismo come quella del turismo gastronomico.
