- This course is designed for A2-level students of Russian. It aims at providing students with communicative skills in the language corresponding to level B1+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR B1+).

- The course aims to develop linguistic and communicative skills in Russian language corresponding to B1 level of CEFR.
A specific knowledge will be developed in:
- morphosyntactic system of the Russian language corresponds to level B1+;
- critical and theoretical elements related to interlingual translation.
Main skills:
- understanding and producing texts in Russian (level B1+);
- translating from Russian into Italian and vice versa;
- understanding and using correctly the grammar of Russian;
- theoretical reflection on the operation of translating from English to Russian and vice versa. - Prerequisites
- The course of Russian Language III is intended for students who have successfully completed the exam of Russian Language II.
Topics covered in the module require knowledge of Russian language corresponding to level A2 of the European Common Framework of Languages (CEFR A2).
Students have to possess elementary linguistic and communicative skills in oral and written Russian, alongside the most relevant morphosyntactic structures of the Russian language. They have to be able to understand sentences and frequently used expressions in Russian related to conversational topics, such as personal and family information, everyday life and culture, geography, employment; communicate in a simple way with native speakers on personal and everyday matters; describe in simple oral and written texts aspects of personal background, everyday life and current culture (indispensable prerequisites).
These prerequisites are valid both for attending and not attending students. - Teaching methods
- The course is organized as follows:
- Linguistic practical training held in Russian by the native language teacher at CLA;
- Classroom lectures, held by the course professor, on all the topics of the course. - Other information
- It will be necessary to have a monolingual Russian vocabulary.
Recommended edition: Bol'soj tolkovyj slovar' russkogo jazyka, ed. by S. A. Kuznecov, Sankt-Peterburg, Norint, 2000 (or other edition).

For the exam students will have to read and translate about 80 pages in Russian (prose, poetry, newspaper or journal articles, essays).
Attendance: at least 75% of lessons.
To be admitted to the examination, students who do not attend classes must arrange in advance an alternative program with the course teacher.
Working and non-attending students are requested to contact the course professor well in advance, preferably at the beginning of the academic year.

- To sit the exam students must have already passed the test of Russian Language III at CLA (University Language Centre).
The exam includes a written test and an oral exam.
The written test consists of a translation (without dictionary) from Italian into Russian of about ten phrases selected according to the topics covered during the course, as well as a translation of a text from Russian into Italian with the help of a bilingual and/or monolingual dictionary (duration: approximately 2 hours).
The oral exam consists of a discussion of the written test. Students have also to demonstrate that they have read, understood and translated about 80 pages in Russian (prose, poetry, newspaper and journal articles, essays, etc.). They have to answer questions on grammar and syntax and will discuss the texts they have read in Russian.
The examination verifies that students have achieved linguistic communicative competence corresponding to level B1+ (CEFR B1+).
The final grade is the average of the marks obtained in the various tests.
Students with disabilities and/or SLDs: for the way the tests are conducted, students can make use of the inclusive technologies, compensatory tools and dispensatory measures provided for by the regulations. - This course is designed for A2-level students of Russian. It aims at providing students with communicative skills in the language corresponding to level B1+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR B1+).
The course is divided into two parts: practical training and conversation held in Russian by a native-language teacher at the CLA, and lectures given by the course professor at the Department.
