Particularities of the liquid medium. Educational values ¿¿of swimming. Swimming and personality development. Training of motor skills and activities related to the "water" environment.
Land and water motor schemes. Development of coordination and learning of swimming skills: technique and teaching of the four swims.
Ambience, buoyancy and sliding.
Technique and didactics of tacks and starting dives.
Educational and pre-registration gymnastics.
Swimming activity for special populations.

Educational objectives
- Provide the student with global knowledge of the concepts that make up the structure of the discipline.
- To acquire operational - professional skills in the sector of theory, technique and teaching of swimming sports.
- Provide interdisciplinary guidance on water sports issues.
- Check the level of knowledge of the general problems of teaching swimming.
- Allowing inclusion in the social sphere in relation to swimming and all related disciplines (water polo, synchronized swimming, gymnastics in
water) in reference to all age groups.
Prerequisites
Knowing how to perform at least three of the 4 canonical styles; knowledge of the peculiar aspects of swimming.

-Classification of sports; classification and peculiarities of swimming activities. Particularities of the liquid medium. Main physical laws governing e
they condition the human body in water: law of Archimedes, Newton, Pascal. Resistance to advancement.

- The culture of water: man and water. Educational aspects of water activities. Figure and role of the instructor.

- The comunication. Characteristics of the message. Types of language: analogue language and verbal language. Barriers to communication.

- Programming: analysis of the starting situation, definition of objectives, choice of means, methods and contents, verification and evaluation.

- Training of motor skills and activities related to the "water" environment. The performance factors: coordination, conditional skills, the
joint mobility, applied to swimming. Sense - perceptive skills and analyzers. Land and water motor schemes. Development of coordination
and learning of swimming skills (birth of techniques).

- Didactic and methodological principles relating to the setting, buoyancy and sliding (purposes, specific objectives, methods of
realization). "Alternative swims" for the first movements in high water. General aspects of teaching in teaching swimming. Elements of
game - sport by age group.

- Technique and didactics of the four swims. Didactic and methodological principles of the four swims: back, crawl, breaststroke, butterfly (lower
limbs, lower limbs and breathing, upper limbs, upper limbs with breathing, upper limbs and lower limbs coordination, upper limbs coordination and
breathing). Competitive swims and elementary swims. Technique and didactics of tacks and starting dives. Didactic - methodological aspects
relating to the teaching and improvement of the four canonical styles: didactic diversifications. The problem of error: learning to teach.
Practical aspects of correction.

-Swimming activity for special populations: elderly, pregnant, disabled. Baby swimming.
