Perfect Knowledge of Italian language. In order to be able to understand and cope with the course, the student must possess the general notions related to the studied context and to the organization of the subject, both from the programmatic
aspect and from the aspect of his human presence and responsibility, notions that the student should already have acquired in the course of schooling. This prerequisite applies to both attending and nonattending students.
Teaching methods Frontal lessons and peer exercises. The prevailing teaching metod is the previous one. Then well'have the aid of multimedial system applied to medical anthropology and also seminar of deepening are previewed.

Learning verification modality The final examination consists of a written or oral test of the student's choice.


The final examination consists of an oral or written test of the student's choice: the oral interview, of about half an hour, allows to verify the student's ability to contextualize the knowledge acquired in the anthropological, historical-socio-cultural framework of reference.
During the course, students will be given the opportunity to prepare a paper on a specific topic, which will be presented to the class during seminar hours, and which will count as an in itinere test.

In general, the test verifies the following aspects:

- Autonomy of judgment, understood as the ability to produce independent judgments, arriving at coherent reflections on social, scientific or ethical issues;

- Learning skills, understood as the ability necessary to advance in studies with a high degree of autonomy; and

Contents The Course is intended to provide the student with an overall vision of the evolution of medical treatment in a perspective of an ever-increasing awareness of the historico-cultural and scientific-metodology developments of the medical profession, making him critical participant of the roots, history and dimension of his future, the epistemologic characteristic, discoveries, applications and dynamic progress of professional, individual, anthropologic and social developments.

• Know how to fit into a historical perspective the evolution of concepts regarding the human body, health and illness
• Have a dynamic view of the principal developments in the theory and practice of medicine
• Have an overall view of the developments and the value of the knoweledge and medical-scientific activity which will enable him and provide him with an immediate and critical awareness of the progress made, state reached, debate about and the challenges facing modern-day medicine.
