Learning verification modality the exams consists of a writtentest in form of multiple choice test. The test has a duration of 40minutes (30 questions). It is designed to evaluate the ability to correctly apply the theoretical knoledge and the understanding of the issues proposed.
Extended program Occupational medicine: the origins, developments and the future. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH RISK ASSESSMENT: Introduction, organization of prevention in health, safety, occupational accidents and illnesses; physical agents , chemical agents, anesthetic gases, antineoplastic chemotherapy, the risk assessment document, organization of work, manual handling of patients, stress, shift work and night work, burn-out. THE ENVIRONMENT IN HEALTH BIOHAZARD: notifiable health authority, and obligation to report to INAIL insurance protection, classification of areas at risk, criteria for assessing the biological risk, biological risk in health care workers, mode of transmission of biological agents, the chain of infection, dose-response relationship, biohazard injuries, health surveillance (medical examinations and instrumental tests). PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE): definitions, reference standards, classification, general rules on the use of PPE, the marking of PPE PPE for respiratory PPE for hands / skin, eye head, shoes , hearing. MANUAL HANDLING OF PATIENTS: prevention and risk management of biomechanical overload for the upper limbs and the spine, evaluation methods (MAPO, NIOSH, Snook Ciriello), Methodology for assessing the risk from manual handling patients in the wards, the choice of ergonomic aids to reduce the risk criteria and procedures, management of business risk from manual handling patients: problems and procedures. NIGHT WORK AND SHIFT WORK: definitions, effects of shift work on the psychophysical sphere, legislation, preventive, reproductive health and work, bullying, stress and paperwork and burnout. WOMEN AND WORK: Introduction, the contribution of the environment to health and disease, occupational risk factors and effects on women's health: gender issues. Reproductive toxicology: some basic principles, processes, toxicology, toxic effects of environmental factors on male reproduction in various stages of development, some environmental agents harmful to spermatogenesis, the assessment of toxic effects on oogenesis and fertility, implantation and toxic substances , factors of risk of a miscarriage, miscarriage, and occupational exposures, effects on the newborn: prematurity, fetal development, neonatal, congenital defects, teratogenesis by environmental agents, occupational exposures of parents and childhood cancers. The course covers the key topics of forensics in criminal and civil law.
The program also aims to provide general information on ethical, with
particular reference to bioethics.

Educational objectives 1. Acquisition of critical awareness based on the fundamental obligations
of professional practice currently in force in Italy.
2. Acquisition of critical awareness relative to the fundamentals of the

appropriate to the fundamentals of the profession.
3. Ability to apply the knowledge gained in the context of the profession
