Reference texts Objective of the course is the integrated study of the cell and of living organisms, with particular regard to the mechanisms involved in the interactions between cells and between cells and the extracellular environment, synthesis and transmission of genetic information, gene expression mechanisms, cell proliferation.
Educational objectives To achieve the training objectives, the student requires a minimum knowledge of Chemistry.
Prerequisites
Teaching methods Face-to-face theoretical lessons with the use of powerpoint slides
Other information
Learning verification modality The exam consists of a written test. It consists of multiple-choice and/or open questions. The multiple-choice test is made of 30 questions with 5 answers each, and only one answer right. Each right answer has a 1 point value; no penalties are present for wrong answers. The duration time is 30 minutes. Questions are related to the items treated at lesson in proportion to the time to them dedicated.
Extended program Cell cycle, DNA structure and its compact overall structure of chromosomes. The maturation of RNA. 'The genetic code translation apparatus adjustment of' gene expression. DNA replication.
