For students who are non-attending or who do not reach the minimum number of presences foreseen by the course, the materials for the oral exam will be agreed with the teacher at a later date. - Educational objectives
- Provide students with the knowledge of the historical evolution of the social work profession and of the social service discipline, with reference to the relative historical-cultural contexts. Fundamental is the knowledge of the methodological procedure of social service in its phases, in relation to the theoretical-operative model chosen as a reference. To acquire and understand the principles and values of the profession of social worker, as well as the code of ethics. To know the main deontological and legal responsibilities of the social worker.
- Prerequisites
- It is preferable that the student has humanistic-psychological knowledge.
- Teaching methods
- Lectures with the support of slides on the topics covered by the program.
Seminar activities on specific topics with the possibility of experts being involved.
Exercises through group work, simulations of operational situations, processing of professional materials. - Learning verification modality
- The exam includes a written test for attending students at the end of the course.
For students who do not reach the minimum number of presences established by the course or those who are non-attending, an oral exam is required after passing the written test.
The written test, with a minimum duration of 60 minutes, includes multiple choice and synthetic open questions on the contents of the program, and also on the in-depth analysis carried out in the context of seminars, group work and methodological analysis. The evaluation of open-ended questions will be carried out by taking into account the following criteria: relevance of the answer, adequacy of the contents, completeness of the concepts expressed, clarity of exposition and lexical, grammatical and syntactical correctness.
The course material will consist of reference texts and additional materials (regulations, articles) that will be presented and discussed during the lessons. This possible other material will be organized and made available on the Department's web page.
For non-attending students, the oral exam will consist of a discussion of in-depth thematic studies concerning the contents of the program, as agreed with the teacher during the course - Extended program
