- Educational objectives
- Provide the student with knowledge regarding the use of computers and the use of systems for text editing, processing of data tables, basic use of databases and literature searches on the net.
At the end of the course, the students have the ability to use the main WORD functions and EXCEL functions to 1. write a letter and 2. describe/analyse a dataset, respectively. - Prerequisites

- - Introduction to PC: Introduction to hardware; operative systems, in particular Microsoft Windows; graphical interface; application start; handling of windows and desktop; handling of files and folders; data search; file compressions; use of the Windows guides
- Microsoft Word: use of menu and guide; creation of new documents; saving of documents; formatting of paragraphs; use of tables and numeric lists; creation of indexes and summaries; documents print.
- Microsoft Excel: folders and worksheets; use of menu and guide; handling of cells; data entry and change; formula entry; cells formatting; relative and absolute references; graph creation; data ordering; filters; pivot tables; document print
