Contents The workshop explores methodological-didactic aspects on how to design and implement inclusive teaching. In particular, the issue of the accessibility of learning will be addressed, in kindergarten and primary school, through the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach.
A specific program for particular groups of students (Erasmus, attending / non-attending students) will be considered from time to time according to the educational needs of the students.

The teaching materials will be available on Unistudium.
For working students, a personalized individual work path will be agreed with the teacher.
For students with disabilities and / or SLDs, any personalized courses will be evaluated together with the Department Coordinator.
Educational objectives The workshop aims at building methodological-didactic skills aimed at promoting inclusive teaching. In particular, students will be able to articulate inclusive learning proposals, in kindergarten and primary school, exploiting the potential of the Universal Design for Learning approach.
Students will be able to produce learning units that are accessible to all students' educational needs.
Prerequisites To be able to understand and to tackle the workshop’s contents, the student must possess the theoretical and practical principles of General Teaching and Special Education.
Teaching methods The workshop is organized as follows: lectures focused on the main theoretical contents;- projections of useful videos to better know and understand the main subject matter and broaden the perspective of the lessons;- group work on specific issues;- socialization of the works produced by class group for shared learning.

Learning verification modality The lworkshop provides a final written test which consists in the display of a group product (including multimedia) aimed at showing the knowledge and skills acquired during the course.
In case a student intends to anticipate his/her exam in a year preceding the one it is scheduled in his/her curriculum, it is recommended to anticipate as well the attendance of the lessons and to schedule the exam in the first useful session after the lessons have been concluded.

Participation in the laboratory and the correct carrying out of the final exam determine for the student the possibility of carrying out the exam in which the Course and Laboratory are integrated.

The fundamental principles;
The application of UDL principles to fields of experience and disciplines.

Contents The course provides the theoretical and practical foundations of pedagogy and special didactics for inclusion. In particular, it addresses all the pedagogical-didactic issues connected to the presence of students with special educational needs in the school context so that this is connoted as inclusive.

- the Italian legislation on disability and SLD
- Special educational needs
- ICF
- inclusive planning
- inclusive teaching strategies
- the assessment of the quality of inclusion in school.
A specific program for particular groups of students (Erasmus students, attending / non-attending students) will be considered from time to time according to the needs of the students.

For students with disabilities and / or with SLD they will be evaluated together with the Referent of
Department of any personalized courses.
Educational objectives The course aims at providing knowledge and skills on special education for inclusion. In detail, students will be able to know, recognize, understand and implement historical, cultural, organizational and teaching and learning key elements of an inclusive education aimed at the creation of accessible learning contexts in kindergarten and primary school.
Prerequisites In order to be able to understand and to know the course contents, the student must possess the theoretical and practical principles of General Teaching
Teaching methods The course is organized as follows:- lectures focused on the main theoretical contents;- projections of useful videos to better know and understand the main subject matter and broaden the perspective of the lectures;- group work on specific issues.

Learning verification modality The course includes a written final test (1 hour long). The test aims at assessing the knowledge acquired during the course. In particular, the exam will assess the inclusive design skills of the students.
In case a student intends to anticipate his/her exam in a year preceding the one it is scheduled in his/her curriculum, it is recommended to anticipate as well the attendance of the lessons and to schedule the exam in the first useful session after the lessons have been concluded.
