Educational objectives
The goals of this ESP course is to help students:
• overcome linguistic barriers;
• acquire linguistic and cultural knowledge related to the nursing and midwifery field as well as healthcare in general;
• expand sectorial vocabulary and develop confidence in speaking/listening and reading/writing, including formal and informal registers;
• learn to monitor and self-correct linguistic output.
Prerequisites
English B1/B2 CEFR level (Common European Framework of Languages) will permit the student to adequately follow the lessons as well as master the sectorial terminology and materials used.

A fundamentals grammar review will be implemented if necessary.

Learning verification modality
Oral exam based on 4 out of 20 selected scientific articles (10 in nursing, 10 in midwifery) duration: approximately 20 minutes.
