Contents Obstetric care is the basic tool through which the state protects the health potential of the individual and the community. In fact, the midwife offers her skills to users (woman, couple, fetus/newborn) who have not yet fully expressed their health potential and, therefore, through the reduction of risk factors and the support of those who are protective factors, is susceptible to the development/improvement of his state of well-being.
In support of health protection, the State guarantees essential levels of assistance through services aimed at satisfying the care needs of users with particular commitment to ensuring the quality and safety of care.
