Contents
The course provides the basics of assessing the environmental impact of products and processes and in particular the noise, atmosphere and water environment components. Describe the main environmental indicators and frame the environmental status at world and national level. Describe the technologies, procedures and technological solutions for the mitigation of the environmental impact. It provides analytical tools for predicting the spread of pollutants.

Educational objectives
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the technical and regulatory tools to address the assessment of the environmental impact of products and processes on the atmosphere component, the water environment and the noise component.
The main knowledge acquired will be:
knowledge of environmental indicators;
basic knowledge of how to spread pollutants in air and water;
knowledge of technologies, procedures and technological solutions for environmental impact mitigation.

Teaching methods
The course is organized as follows:
- classroom lessons on all the course topics;
- classroom seminars with industry experts who will deepen course topics;
- educational visit (optional) to research centers and bodies responsible for environmental control which allows students to verify visually what is illustrated during the lessons.
