| Educational objectives | The lectures of "Study-Unit - Module B" aims to verify students' ability to deal with simple cases of structural design of the machines and their components, in relation to the stresses and environmental operational conditions. |
| Prerequisites | Knowledge of the rudiments of the theory of elasticity, the ability to carry out the calculation of stresses in simple components (Statics), the ability to perform the kinematic analysis of simple mechanisms (applied mechanics), the knowledge of physical properties are required. / chemical of metallic materials and main thematic treatments (Science and technology of materials), the criteria for designing and sizing machine parts and structural connections (Machine Design) |
