Contents	The contents include the assessment of the health status of the assisted person through the identification of normal and pathological clinical conditions, care planning and education/information for the assisted people.

Educational objectives	At the end of the module, the student will have the ability to apply knowledge and understanding in relation to the practice of basic nursing as far as women's health needs are concerned.
Prerequisites	elements of human anatomy and physiology.
Teaching methods	frontal lessons, lab activities, study and individual research.
Learning verification modality	Oral exam and practical test in the teaching laboratory.
Extended program	- History, theory and philosophy of Nursing and Obstetrics sciences. - The nursing process: from thought to gesture, critical thinking, phases and application. - mobilization techniques and hygienic performance. - Description of techniques and procedures such as: hand washing, gloves and their use; study and methods of arterial pulse detection, blood pressure, body temperature and respiratory function, assessment of the breath, placement and management of the bladder catheter, insertion and management of the peripheral venous catheter, venous puncture and arterial puncture for emogas analysis, emotrasfusion. - Drug administration: pharmacological assessment, safety, route of administration, techniques. - Nursing care pre and post operative. - Clinical documentation and communication: from recording activities to communication in the delivery pass.
