Extended program	Understanding the cognitive and affective aspects that come into play when a child meets a doctor, a nurse, a rehabilitation therapist is of utmost importance in order to establish the best possible therapeutic alliance with the child and his/her family. In this course, human psychological development will be described in its essentials, from classical theories to applied aspects, with the aim of providing the indispensable basic knowledge needed by health professionals who find themselves working in close contact with children

Educational objectives	Provide the student with the basis for a critical approach to the 'historical evolution of medicine, in the triple perspective of scientific knowledge, clinical practice, and social and organizational dimensions. Highlight the main issues related to the practice of the profession through the example of historical events. Reflect on the role of the History of Medicine within the Human Sciences as a fundamental part of the cultural heritage of each type of health profession with its own specificities.
