Educational objectives	The student must demonstrate that he/she is able to: Replace or help the person in carrying out life activities, implement interventions in an informed manner (know the reasons for the interventions and the possible consequences), prepare, use and store the material ready for use, use the rooms and materials suitable for the various situations. Satisfy the person's hygiene and clothing needs: making an unoccupied bed (initial phases), making an occupied bed, total hygiene (bathing in bed, showering), partial hygiene, nail cutting, satisfy the person's need for mobilization: Assess the condition of the skin; help the person: to assume a sitting position in bed, to assume a position in an armchair, in walking, in mobilization in bed, use the necessary aids, satisfy the need for breathing and temperature control, detect: respiratory rate, type of breathing, pulse characteristics, heart rate, blood pressure, axillary and rectal temperature, satisfy the need for nutrition, recognize the main diets, help the person in preparing and eating a meal; Satisfy the need for breathing and administering prescribed oxygen therapy with the right devices. Satisfy the need for urinary and fecal elimination, collect and measure diuresis, recognize the main alterations of diuresis, urine, urination, recognize alterations of fecal function, apply assistance interventions and aids that promote elimination; Promote the patient's rest and sleep, prevent falls; Carry out the assessment of the person taken in charge; systematically detect and classify objective and subjective data, formulate real nursing diagnoses and identify potential objectives, implement assistance interventions and evaluate the results. The student must demonstrate that he/she has understood the method for building a rational assistance planning

Learning verification modality	The exam includes an oral test. The oral test consists of AN INTERVIEW lasting approximately 10/15 minutes aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge and understanding acquired by the student on the topics covered by the teacher.
Extended program	1. Introduction to assessment methods: observation, interview, structural tools, scales, questionnaires, objective examination. 2. VITAL PARAMETERS: Definition and purpose of the detection of vital parameters; signs and symptoms of alteration. General principles in the detection of parameters in hospital and home settings; pulse assessment, blood pressure assessment, respiratory rate assessment. 3 THERMOREGULATION: Factors that influence body temperature, Alterations in body temperature, Nursing process applied to problems of ineffective thermoregulation: nursing interventions. Notes on nursing assessment of pain and nutritional status; 4. OXYGENATION AND RESPIRATORY FUNCTIONALITY: Characteristics of normal breathing in relation to: sex, age, physical and mental state; Factors that influence respiratory functionality; Definition of the main manifestations of alteration of respiratory functionality: signs and symptoms. Characteristics of breathing and main alterations. Measurement of oxygen saturation. Abnormal breathing. Nursing process applied to respiratory problems: Nursing diagnoses, nursing interventions, evaluation of the results obtained. 5.ENTERAL AND PARENTERAL FEEDING. MAIN ALTERATIONS OF THE GASTROINTESTINAL SYSTEM Most frequent signs and symptoms affecting the upper and lower tract Vomiting: types, characteristics, complications, healthcare interventions 6. INTESTINAL ELIMINATION Factors that influence intestinal elimination. Alteration of intestinal function. Most frequent signs and symptoms in intestinal disorders. Nursing process applied to intestinal problems: Nursing diagnoses, nursing interventions. Evaluation of the results obtained. 6. URINARY ELIMINATION: Urinary elimination: urination, characteristics of normal urine. Factors that influence urinary elimination. Urinary function alterations: signs and symptoms Nursing process applied to urinary elimination problems: nursing diagnoses, nursing interventions. 7. MOVEMENT AND MAINTAINING AN ADEQUATE POSITION Normal mobility. Factors that influence mobility. Impairment of mobility and its manifestations: signs and symptoms Systemic and psychosocial effects of immobility. Nursing process applied to mobility problems: Nursing diagnoses, nursing interventions. Evaluation of the results obtained. 8. SKIN ASSESSMENT. Pressure sores: prevention, staging, treatment, simple and advanced dressings 9. SLEEPING and REST. Factors that influence sleep and rest. Sleep and rest alterations: signs and symptoms. Nursing process applied to sleep / rest problems: nursing interventions. 10: NOTES ON PAIN: monitoring, nursing diagnoses, interventions, evaluation of the results achieved. The prerequisite desired by the teacher for admission to the exam is to have successfully passed the Nursing Methodology I exam.

Educational objectives	The teaching of Nursing Methodology I, has the general objective of ensuring the student with the theoretical, methodological and technical knowledge to be able to organize a care plan for a person in compliance with their specificity and uniqueness and ensuring the best possible level of health. The main knowledge acquired will be: -the theories of nursing -Introduction to the nursing care process -Nursing assessment -The nursing diagnosis -Nursing documentation - Guidelines for procedures and protocols. The main skills that allow to apply the acquired knowledge will be: • Define the areas of Nursing Theories • Describe the Nursing Process by recognizing the different phases that make it up • Identify health needs through data collection and identify a Nursing diagnosis.
Teaching methods	The course is organized as follows: frontal lessons on all the course topics, guided discussions, exercises in small groups, bibliographic research.
Learning verification modality	The exam includes an oral test. The oral exam consists of a discussion lasting about 10/15 minutes aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge and understanding reached by the student on the theoretical and methodological contents indicated in the program. The oral test will also allow to verify the student's communication skills with language properties and autonomous organization of the exhibition on the same theoretical topics.
