2 ESR positions available at University of Perugia:
"Cool pavements for Urban heat island effect Mitigation":
The job is a full time position for an early stage researcher (ESR) in the field of building physics, with special emphasis on energy efficiency and microclimate mitigation. Our goal is to improve our understanding of the materials and testing methodologies and simulation tools applied over urban pavements with the purpose to mitigate urban heat island effect, and improve citizens’ wellbeing in dense built environment.
"Nanotechnologies for self-sensing & self-inspecting Smart Urban Pavements (NanoSUP)":
The job is a full time position for an early stage researcher (ESR) in the field of structural engineering, with special emphasis on Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and smart construction materials. Our goal is to develop innovative smart pavement systems for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of road infrastructure (including pavements and bridges) in urban environments. The new self-sensing pavement technologies will be able to characterize traffic and conduct weigh-in-motion of vehicles for use in structural performance evaluation (e.g., fatigue analysis).
The call for applicants for the two ESR positions has expired on July 9th 2018.
