- The course is planned as an insight of Ecology I. It is divided into two parts: evolutionary ecology and biodiversity. The first part deals with the issues of natural selection, ecological adaptation and co-evolution between interacting organisms. The second part deals with the various components of biodiversity and the problems relating to their management.

- Aims: knowledge acquisition of scientific basis of ecology for the comprehension of the relationships between species and environment aimed at the conservation of biodiversity

- Basic concepts of ecology are important for a better comprehension of the course topics

- The course will be taught with oral frontal lessons. Practical activities will be also implemented.
