Contents
The course is planned as an insight of Ecology I. It is divided into two parts: evolutionary ecology and biodiversity. The first part deals with the issues of natural selection, ecological adaptation and co-evolution between interacting organisms. The second part deals with the various components of biodiversity and the problems relating to their management.

Aims: knowledge acquisition of scientific basis of ecology for the comprehension of the relationships between species and environment aimed at the conservation of biodiversity
Prerequisites
Basic concepts of ecology are important for a better comprehension of the course topics
Teaching methods
The course will be taught with oral frontal lessons. Practical activities will be also implemented.

Attendance: optional, but recommended.

Oral exam, integrated with the results of students' seminars on topics regarding the teaching course.
