Educational objectives the student learns the knowledge of practical clinical aspects of internal diseases with regard to pathologies that may have correlations with the odontostomatological field and therefore must be at least known by the dentist
Prerequisites The student must have passed the Pathological Anatomy exam
Teaching methods The teaching method adopted, useful for achieving the expected qualifying characteristics, provides for the horizontal and vertical integration of the knowledge acquired in the training course and is mainly centered on the ability to solve problems and make decisions, on early contact with the patient, on the acquisition of good clinical skills and in the human relationship with the patient.
This teaching method uses lectures and professional training.
Learning verification modality METHOD OF CONDUCTING THE EXAM: Oral test lasting approximately 15-20 minutes divided into at least 2 questions, 1 of which relating to the diagnosis of internal diseases (see programme) and 1 relating to therapy. A further question on the minimum necessary knowledge may be asked in the event of an unsatisfactory answer to the 2 previous questions.
VERIFICATION OF CLINICAL SKILLS: interpretation of a radiological, instrumental specialist, laboratory report
VERIFICATION OF THE SKILLS ACQUIRED DURING THE INTERNSHIP: description of a technology or diagnostic process relevant to internal medicine
METHOD FOR ALLOCATION OF THE FINAL MARK: arithmetic or weighted average of the marks obtained in the individual disciplines, as established by the degree course
