Educational objectives The student is expected to learn the principles of pathophysiology, clinical and diagnosis and treatment
of digestive diseases. The learning objectives include the treatment of digestive diorders including : the pharmacological, the medical and surgical management of the princiopal diorders of digestive system, liver, pancreas and biliary tract.

Educational objectives At the end of the course, students will be familiar with theoretical and practical elements that guide the diagnosis and therapy of the main tumors.
Students will have the main elements that guide supportive therapy and major emergencies in oncology.
Finally, students will navigate in clinical cancer management by applying the main knowledge for an integrated cancer approach
Prerequisites Anatomy, physiology and physiopathology, general pathology, fundamental, main, preliminary principles of pharmacology and internal medicine

Learning verification modality Examination method: Oral test lasting approximately 20 minutes including 2 questions, 1 related to a specific oncological disease (see programme) and 1 related to the supportive care, management of complications. A further question on the minimum necessary knowledge may be asked in the event of an unsatisfactory answer to the 2 previous questions
TESTING OF CLINICAL SKILLS: interpretation of a report related to the pathology or a complication linked to a specific oncologic disease

Contents Il settore si interessa dell'attività scientifica e didattico-formativa, nonché
dell'attività assistenziale a essa congrua nel campo delle Malattie
dell'apparato digerente, del fegato, del distretto bilio-pancreatico e della
nutrizione nonché delle loro implicazioni in termini di diagnostica e
terapia strumentale, di clinica e terapia medica, di fisiopatologia.
Lo studente deve raggiungere una visione articolata e organica delle
principali patologie gastrointestinali, basi di fisiopatologia, semeiotica
dell’apparato digerente con inquadramento delle principali patologie,
percorso diagnostico, basi di terapia medica e chirurgica.
Sono inoltre richieste la conoscenza delle tecniche endoscopiche e delle
altre tecniche strumentali necessarie per lo studio dell’apparato
digerente (ecografia, RX, TC, RMN). Nozioni basilari dell’anatomia
patologica delle patologie gastrointestinali trattate.
Sono specifici ambiti di apprendimento a la metodologia clinica e la
terapia farmacologica e strumentale delle malattie dell’apparato
digerente, del fegato, delle vie biliari e del pancreas, l’endoscopia
digestiva diagnostica e terapeutica e dell’ ecografia addominale (fegato,
