Educational objectives	The student is expected to learn the principles of pathophysiology, clinical and diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases. The learning objectives include the treatment of digestive diorders including : the pharmacological, the medical and surgical management of the princiopal diorders of digestive system, liver, pancreas and biliary tract. gastrointetsinal endosocpy.
Prerequisites	Knowledge of the principles of digestive anatomy and general pathology. Pharamcology and abdominal radiology (Rx, TC and RMN).

Contents	Il settore si interessa dell'attività scientifica e didattico-formativa, nonché dell'attività assistenziale a essa congrua nel campo delle Malattie dell'apparato digerente, del fegato, del distretto bilio-pancreatico e della nutrizione nonché delle loro implicazioni in termini di diagnostica e terapia strumentale, di clinica e terapia medica, di fisiopatologia. Lo studente deve raggiungere una visione articolata e organica delle principali patologie gastrointestinali, basi di fisiopatologia, semeiotica dell’apparato digerente con inquadramento delle principali patologie, percorso diagnostico, basi di terapia medica e chirurgica.
