- 1. Histological techniques:
- behavioral rules in a histology laboratory; personal and environmental safety management (1h);
- preparation of cell and tissue specimens for cyto/histomorphological, cyto/histochemcal, immuno cyto/histochemical analysis (8h);
- principles of immunofluorescence (3h).
2. Principles of Electronic Microscopy:
- preparation of samples for electron microscopy (5h);
- observation at Trnsmission (TEM) and /or scanning (SEM) electron microscope (2h);
3. Morphological study of cultured cells:
- how to work in a cell culture lab; staff flow, behavioral rules, sterility cleanliness and management (1h);
- cell isolation and cell culture manipulation (3h).

- At the end of the course, the student will know how to process cytological and histological specimens for microscopic observation and will be able to apply this knowledges to specimen preparation.
