Extended program
The course offers some methodological approach paths to the work of art, tracing its different historical genesis, the critical developments, and their interaction with other parallel disciplines, such as philosophy, sociology and science, which have strongly conditioned its development and prospects. It will consider the direct examination of some critical cases, particularly complex and particularly debated by the ancient and contemporary history, such as the capital work of the Umbrian Renaissance.
Some teaching teaching lessons will be given, in order to gain confidence with the digital and traditional investigation tools useful for drawing up a bibliography and structuring one's own field of investigation. This path, structured through lectures and practical seminars, will be modeled in order to prepare the student for writing of a degree thesis. Guided visits to the main cultural institutions and research centers responsible for the conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage such as archives and libraries will also be organized in this regard.
Furthermore, to make the student aware of the various professional skills that a degree in Cultural Heritage allows to develop, meetings and conferences will be organized with the main personalities of the institutions responsible for the protection and enhancement of the cultural heritage in Umbria such as Soprintendenze, National and Civic Museums, Regione Umbria.
