- Educational objectives
- The lectures are aimed at describing the action of psychotropic drugs and providing the psychology corse students with tools that can be of help in managing the patient.
The course provides the student with an overview of the psychoactive molecules, from the drugs used in the treatment of the main psychological-psychiatric disorders, to the substances of abuse including those of common use such as nicotine, alcohol, caffeine and analgesics. - Prerequisites
- The course makes numerous connections with clinical psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience and neuroanatomy, therefore basic knowledge related to Physiology and Neurobiology is required.

- The attendance of the frontal and online lessons is not obligatory.

- Oral exam - Until further notice, the exams will occur online, according to the University of Perugia guidelines for the Teaching at a Distance. The evaluation criteria will be based on the understanding of the topics covered, on the acquisition of the proposed concepts and methodologies and on the ability to apply them independently and consciously.
