IDENTITY AND ACTION.
ACTIVA LIFE ACCORDING TO HANNA ARENDT

The course aims to present an in-depth analysis of the connection between human nature and human identity, on the one hand, and between work and action, on the other. And it analizes the specifics of the modern age in Hannah Arendt’s Vita activa, in which there is a progressive escape of the human being from the world, a rebellion against existence, a sort of triple alienation.

Educational objectives
To favor a critical knowledge of fundamental matters of the political philosophical thought, in order to the relationship between power, subject, rationality;
Prerequisites
Knowledges of some of the great philosopher studied (Machiavelli, Hobbes); Being interested to the interdisciplinary dialogue

Frequency of lessons: optional but strongly advised.
