Contents CONCISE PROGRAM
Starting with basic concepts of ecology issues relating to monitoring of environmental primary components (air, water, soil) and secondary ones (noise and waste) will be presented and discussed in relation to the various forms of pollution and contamination caused by human activity and natural source, for the preparation of prevention plans, protection, control and rehabilitation of vital components of ecosystem and consequently the impact on human health.

Educational objectives EXPECTED LEARNING RESULTS

Learning aims
- Basic KNOWLEDGE:
main sample taking techniques of primary and secondary environmental components and planning methods of a survey to manage the risk and the restructuring actions, the actions of protection, primary prevention and health promotion.
- ORIENTATION to professional activity on key objectives of planning, organization and verification of primary prevention, applied research in the field of primary prevention and assessment of results.
The course aims to present the elements of initial knowledge and the methodology for the planning and implementation of a survey of quantitative and qualitative assessment of risk factors of physical, chemical and biological origin in environment, in living environment and in workplace.
Learning activity based on PBL (problem based learning) method will consist of alternating exercises, simulations and practical applications on actual cases, theoretical references and in depth-analysis of covered topics, considered necessary for acquisition of knowledge, skills, work and behaviour methodology, essential and adequate to start professional practice.
Prerequisites Basic knowledge of physics, chemistry, environmental technical physics, environmental chemistry, environmental and work hygiene.
Teaching methods Planning Course
