- Knowledge of anemophilous plants and their flowering periods. Identification of main airborne pollen. Knowledge of aerobiological monitoring tecniques and laboratory methods to test pollen viability.

- The atmosphere and aerobiological particles. Aerobiological particles size. Sources of emission of aerobiological particles. Reproductive structures of Fungi, Bryophyta and Pteridophyta. Mycrosporogenesis and pollen development in Spermatophyta.
Identification of arboreal, shrubs and herbaceous plants responsible of allergenic pollen release. Phenological phases and flowering periods. Diffusion and transport. Influence of climatic conditions. Indoor and outdoor effects on people, animals, plants and on artistic patrimony. Allergological implications particularly regarding pollinosis. New and emerging pollinosis (Corylus, Cupressus, Ambrosia ecc.). Pollinosis and relation with spontaneous and ornamental vegetation. Pollen Morphology and identification keys. Methods in aerobiological monitoring of airborne pollen and spores.
