- Contents
- The course is divided in two parts, a theoretical part and an empirical-methodological part. The contents of the main concepts related to the governance and public policies and also to experience cases of governance through simulations.

"Attending" students are those who attend the class and the seminar group researches. The Students who do not attend classes and/or do not carry out the seminary works will be considered “non-attendants”. - Educational objectives
- At the end of the course, the students will have attained the theoretical and methodological competences of the main aspects of public policies and the governance model. Moreover, the students attending this course will analyze case studies and they will also simulate case scenarios. The course involves students of several master’s degrees who will acquire the necessary skills to work within the governance structures of the different study areas.

- No prerequisites.
- Teaching methods
- The course includes frontal lectures by the teacher. The last part of the course is devoted to the group works carried out by students who attend the seminar research.

- Other information will be provided by the teacher on the Unistudium platform of the Department.
- Learning verification modality
- The preparation of the students will be evaluated through a written test on the first part of the program. Attending and non-attending students can check it.
For attending students who choose the simulation of a case study, after the written text on the first part of the program, they will receive a further evaluation based on their simulation.
Non-attending students, who do not want to attend the case simulation who decide do not do the written test, will have an oral exam dealing with the whole program.

- The first part of the course deals with three fundamental theoretical concepts: 1) governance; 2) Social capital; 3) public policies.
Morover, the second part focuses on empirical aspects of governance. In this regard, students are required to carry out a seminar research on a case of governance.
