Contents | The course offers students a methodological path to deal with the restoration project of buildings with historical-architectural or archaeological value. This is done through group exercises performed on multi-layered buildings dating back to different historical periods (from Roman times, up to buildings of the twentieth century). Particular attention is paid to preliminary investigations: from historical and documentary analysis, to research aimed at both the materiality of the building, the construction techniques, the changes undergone by the building over time, and the degradation factors, with the aim of reaching, finally, to the restoration and recovery project of the building under study. |

Teaching methods | Lectures in the classroom, field exercises, revision of the project work in the classroom. |
Learning verification modality | At the end of each exercise it will be evaluated by the teachers and the result will be communicated to the students. The final grade will consist of the recording of the average of the marks obtained in the exercises carried out during the semester. Students who have not attended the laboratory will not be able to take the exam. |
Extended program | Classroom lectures and site inspections. |
