Reference texts
CHIMICA MODERNA Oxtoby, Gillis, Nachtrieb - EdiSES 2018 fifth edition
Educational objectives
Fundamentals of General and Inorganic Chemistry with their possible application to further investigations on Condensed Matter
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the fundaments of mathematics from Secondary High School: First and second degree algebraic equations; Systems of Linear Equations, Inequalities. Basic knowledge of trigonometry and its elements. Derivatives and Integrals. Logarithms and Powers.
Teaching methods
Theoretical Lessons plus numerical practice
Other information
Exam sessions in the following periods: Jan 2021; Feb 2021; Jun 2021; Jul 2021; Sept 2021. The dates can be found in the department website
Learning verification modality
120 minutes written exam followed by an oral exam.

The former will consist in answering to approximately 20 numerical problems and theoretical questions with a total achievable score of 30 points.

The latter will move from the discussion with the student of the written exam results and will then extend to the knowledge gained by the student.
