- Basics in numerical analysis: numerical stability, computational cost. Numerical linear algebra and approximations of functions. Case study: search engines, computer graphics.

- Any textbook of Numerical Analysis containing basic topics in Numerical Linear Algebra and Approximation Theory.

- To get familiar with numerical algorithms, their analysis, their implementation, their use in model problems.
- Prerequisites
- Linear algebra. Functions of one real variable. Basic programming.
- Teaching methods
- Face-to-face lectures.
- Learning verification modality
- Before the exam a fourt-five minutes test is made using a computer, the test consists in small questions, and passing the test is necessary to make the exam.
The exam consists in a few detailed questions on the topics of the course and the duration is about fourty minutes. We will priviledge the comprehension and the capability to manage the topics of the course, with respect to the memorization. - Extended program
