Prerequisites
Knowledge of physiology and general pathology
Teaching methods
8 hours of face-to-face lessons and 4 hours of theoretical-practical lessons in groups at the center of advanced medical simulation, with reservation online
Learning verification modality
An ongoing test is scheduled, whose weighted vote for the CFU in the final mark for the teaching of internal medicine; the test consists of:
written test consisting of 30 multiple choice questions (one exact), exceeded if up to 3 errors are committed
Oral exam with 2 questions lasting 15-30 minutes.
Extended program
Meeting with the patient: medical history; general and special physical xamination; case report
Skin Clinical signs relevant in internal medicine: jaundice, cyanosis, pallor.
Pain: somatic and visceral pain; headache, thoracic and abdominal pain. Osteoarticular pain and syndromes
Respiratory system and mediastinal signs: dyspnea, cyanosis,
Respiratory and mediastinal syndrome: inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation
Pulmonary disorders: pneumonia, pleural effusion, emphysema, pneumothorax, pulmonary embolism, mediastinal syndrome, hemoptysis; clinical case studies and instrumental semiotics

Educational objectives
Through the formal activity and practical exercises, the student will be able to detect and interpret in a pathophysiologic way the main symptoms and signs of illness and laboratory indicators related to several major groups of diseases (markers of autoimmune diseases, diseases of the the heart and great vessels, hematologic, bleeding and thrombotic disorders, gastroenterologic diseases, liver and pancreas diseases, endocrine disorders and cancer).

It is strongly recommended required the attendance at least 80%) of the lessons in order to allow a good understanding of the arguments in the absence of a reference textbook. Materials presented during classes will be made available after the lessons.
