Educational objectives Provide knowledge on microbiological investigation methods and ability to implement microbiological techniques.
Prerequisites Knowledge in the microbiological field.
Teaching methods Each of the course's lessons includes:
- a theoretical introduction on the basis of a particular method;
- a practical demonstration of the same method.
Other information Practical exercises at the laboratory of SC Microbiology.

- Dilution method: definition of Minimum Inhibitory Concentration and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration.
- Method for diffusion (Kirby-Bauer).

4- Blood cultures.
5- Micro-macroscopic stool examination.

The knowledge of the more relevant bacterial, viral, fungal, and protozoarian infections, and the laboratory practice and skill needed to isolate and identify the etiological agents of infections
