Educational objectives The course aims to provide elements of knowledge related to the main symptomatic, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects.

At the end of the course the student must have the knowledge of the main medical diseases and diagnostic methods and therapies in the field of internal medicine, related to the aspects of nursing care.
Prerequisites In order to understand and use the concepts described in the teaching it requires knowledge of basic elements of molecular and cellular mechanisms, of Anatomy and Physiology.
Teaching methods Frontal Lessons: Classroom lessons on all the topics of the module.
Learning verification modality The exam includes an oral exam consisting of a collegial discussion, with the presence of the teachers of the various modules, of about 20-30 minutes aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge and understanding achieved by the student in the topics presented in class and reported in the program of the various modules.

The oral test will also allow the student's communication skills, his interaction with the patient, his language property, the ability to apply the acquired skills and to develop solutions in autonomy of judgment.

Anamnesis (familial, physiological, pathological, remote and proximal)
- Objective examination (general and individual organs and system)
- Laboratory tests (clinical significance and normality values ¿¿of main parameters)
- Instrumental investigations (indication and usefulness of chest X-ray, endoscopy, CT scan, etc.).

- General aspects of the cardiac system - anatomy and physiology
Ischemic cardiomyopathy: risk factors, clinical pictures, ECG diagnosis
