Educational objectives
At the end of the module, the student will be able to identify the specificity of the childcare approach to the baby and the newborn with health problems, differences with the adult patient and the importance
of the role of the family in the process of recovering the child's health. It will be able to define the peculiarities in carrying out assistance techniques in the specific setting, choosing less appropriate traumatic modes, and establishing an appropriate relationship according to the different ages of the child. It will also define the needs, priorities and major care interventions in the most frequent pathological conditions in the pediatric field.

Anatomy and physiopathology of the baby and the infant.

- Assistance to the healthy newborn in the context of low intensity care, management of premature or pathological neonates in a context of medium and high intensity care (neonatal disease and neonatal intensive care and pediatric).
- the importance of breastfeeding.
- The concept of "Family Centered Care" and its applications in the clinic in a context of humanization of care; Kangaroo Mother Care.
- Pain in the child: assessment tools, containment techniques and pain control in the child.
- Management of Clinical Risk Management and Pediatric Risk Management: Calculation skills, with therapy preparation exercises.
- Therapy administration: the relationship and approach with the child to whom the therapy is given. Venous incarnation; administration of oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, rectal, ocular therapy.
- Assistance to the child undergoing surgery.

Educational objectives
The Obstetrics and Gynecology course aims to provide students with the notions of pathophysiology and clinics of the main pathologies of the female genital sphere, reproductive function and pregnancy.
In these areas the student must acquire both knowledge of the main diagnostic techniques necessary for the correct clinical classification of the patient with gynecological or obstetric
symptoms, and knowledge relating to medical and surgical therapies to be used in the treatment of these pathologies.
With regard to the obstetric part, the objectives are to provide knowledge relating to physiological pregnancy, etiopathogenesis, pathophysiology and clinics of the various pathologies that can arise in pregnancy, during labor and delivery and during the puerperium.
