Extended program The course aims to analyze the objectives and methods of Psycholinguistics. The mental processes involved in comprehension, production and acquisition of language, both in oral and in written dimension, will be investigated. Specifically, the following topics will be addressed:

Educational objectives Acquiring a thorough knowledge of aphasia and related theoretical models, principles, methods and evaluation tools, acquisition of speech and language assessment methodology for the functional diagnosis.
Prerequisites In order to understand the topics of the course and to be able to apply the operating procedures described, the student must possess knowledge of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, general concepts of neuropsychology, knowledge about the structure of language in its levels of articulation.

Learning verification modality Progress assessment and final oral exam. The final oral test consists in a discussion-interview on the topics discussed during the course and examined in-depth through recommended texts. The duration of the test varies depending on the performance of the test itself.
