Extended program
The course is divided into three essential parts.

In the first part we examine criminological theories, with particular attention to those of the sociological field and with a particular focus on the question of the "government of fear". At first, in an extended and analytical way, the course deals with the origins and developments of criminology as science (from an epistemological, methodological and phenomenological point of view).

In the second part we explore the theme of the crowd and collective behavior, linked to the issue of security and public order, with particular attention to the scientific origin of this subject of investigation in the field of social sciences.

The third part investigates the phenomenon of the crowd through a critical itinerary. Particular attention will be given to the analysis of the three devices of the crowd: suggestion, fear and police.
