Contents The course will focus on the sociological paradigm of security and of a re-reading of the classics, notably V. Pareto and paradigms of deviance and trust. Sociological paradigms of trust, security, relationship and conflict. The course also focuses on how, in terms of multidisciplinary, land, if secured, can create links and possibilities of socio-economic, political and value development.

Educational objectives Understanding and management of the basic paradigms described above in research and action research, with particular attention to human action in order to understand the motivations for and attitudes of the social actor.
Prerequisites To follow the course successfully, the student should possess knowledge regarding theories of social action and the epistemological status of sociology as a science, it is also useful the mastery of concepts such as values, norms, anomie, deviance and social control: the above concepts should be acquired through the course of  General Sociology under the first year.
Teaching methods Frontal lectures, seminars, study groups.
Other information Compulsory frequency, at least 75% of lessons, except working students.
Learning verification modality Intermediate written test to be carried out during the course, inherent part of the program, accessible to all, attending and non-attending, recommended but not required, consisting of a closed questions multiple choice test of the length of about 40 minutes; final oral exam by the time variable, if the intermediate test is performed, about 10-15 minutes, if you bring the entire program, about 25 minutes. The final oral examination consists of a discussion-interview on the topics covered during the course and details of recommended books. Objective evidence: monitoring of the learning and analysis of program understanding level.
Extended program The course deals with the sociological paradigm of security: in this context we consider the main sociological concepts useful for the understanding of social change and the risks involved. A multidisciplinary perspective also allows framing of risk various aspects (socio-economic, political ...) and the possibility of mediation of social conflict. A careful analysis of the methodology of research in key qualitative, as the key to understanding the postmodern phenomena related to real and perceived security / insecurity in the global society.

Contents The teaching aims to:
- provide theoretical and methodological tools for interpreting the relationship between education and society, in the light of the transformation of contemporary contexts and identities;
- provide design information to use this knowledge in the management of contemporary educational processes.

Educational objectives The course is aimed at the acquisition of: 
- socio-cultural knowledge that allows to understand and understand the evolution of formal and informal educational agencies, even in an integrated and interdisciplinary perspective, in the light of social change; 
- analytical skills related to the ability to apply acquired knowledge. In particular, it refers to the ability to read and interpret socio-educational phenomena by carrying out empirical research activities and by reading academic and scientific texts and by analyzing educational materials of various kinds (eg multimedia And digital). 
Ability to synthesize and create thematic and cross-disciplinary links of disciplinary content. 
- autonomy of judgment, useful to read critically the most controversial and controversial issues of the discipline, also in relation to the development of public debate, also in order to elaborate and support one's own position supported by arguments. 
- communicative, socio-relational and design skills that enable you to work individually and in a group and to communicate the concepts and ideas that are acquired and elaborated in an original way in an adequate and convincing manner. Prerequisites In order to be able to deepen and develop a critical analysis of the issues that will be addressed in the course, you must know the basics of general sociology. In specific knowledge concerning: socialization processes, social institutions and social roles.
Teaching methods The course is organized as follows:
- Classroom lectures on all subjects of the course;
- supplementary seminars that will be organized by the lecturer or his / her co-ordinators on issues of in-depth study.
Other information Follow integrative seminars that will be organized by the teacher or by colleagues of the CdS on issues of deepening.
Frequency is strongly recommended but not mandatory.
Learning verification modality The exam includes an oral and / or exposure of a paper on a specific theme assigned, either autonomously or in groups. The oral exam in a discussion lasting about 15-20 minutes, aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge and understanding achieved by students on the theoretical and methodological implications mentioned in the program. The questions focus on the program as described by the teacher in the relevant data, taking into account to verify the communication skills of the student / or properties of language and autonomous organization of the exhibition, to the knowledge of the subject, the ability to reason, to the logic of 'argument and learning the method devised by the individual teaching. The exposure of the elaborate consists exclusively or completion of the oral examination in the discussion of a topic chosen from among those covered in class with a depth that can be done according to the following methodology: presentation of a case to the class with theoretical references and research, statistical data and conclusions personal criticism. Such work may be presented in power point (or other software program) or only orally, but both in a special meeting held in the presence of all the students, either individually or as a team.
