Educational objectives
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of the thought, and practice of anthropology in line with the objectives of the CoS and acquisition of additional cultural foundations necessary for teaching.
- Knowledge of the history, practices, and doctrines of anthropology as it has evolved historically, with a particular focus on the modern era, in line with the educational objectives of the CdS: refinement of general knowledge of the historical evolution of violence.
The course also hopes to develop skills in the theoretical elaboration of anthropological thought on violence in the various cultural contexts of the earth with regard to issues concerning man in his social and political, religious, aesthetic and cognitive dimensions, in line with the CdS objectives (skills).
Finally, the course aims to provide skills necessary to pose as a cultural mediator with migrants from related cultural contests and living in italy
It is intended to train students who know how to deal with anthropology and violence by introducing critical-cultural and interpretive cues that conset a cultural estrangement and speaesamento.- Knowledge of the history, practices and doctrines of anthropology, in its historical evolution, with particular focus on the modern era, in line with the educational objectives of the CdS: refinement of general knowledge of the historical evolution of violence.

Prerequisites
Knowledge of the Italian language. In order to be able to understand and know how to approach the course, the student must possess the general notions related to the context studied and the organization of the subject, both from the programmatic aspect and from the aspect of its presence and responsibility, notions that the student should already have acquired in the course of schooling. This prerequisite applies to both attending and non-attending students.
Teaching methods
The prevailing teaching method involves face-to-face classroom lectures aided, when necessary, by multimedia tools; practical exercises, viewing of film-documentaries and in-depth seminars are also provided.

Students will make written tests in the second part of the teaching and communicate them to the class

Extended program
Violence in anthropology gives rise to different approaches all, however, grounded in ethnography. Therefore we will start here from giving elements of history , practice and theory of anthropology with a general text. Then we will study the ethnography of violence in their different forms and finally work on romaphobic racism. In this way the entire anthropological field of violence will be addressed.
