General knowledge of orthopedics and traumatology.

Major injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system: epidemiology, etiology, pathology, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and prevention

Educational objectives
The main objective is to provide specific knowledge and expertise by integrating the knowledge provided by the degree course in Medicine and Surgery at the vocational training and lessions.

The main skills that students will acquire:

Knowledge of the basic elements of Orthopedics and Traumatology, to get a common terminology and to have the knowledge of the main diseases and / or injuries of the musculoskeletal system, especially in the etiopathogenesis and clinical manifestations.

Know how to recover and simplest gestures and those typical after an injury and / or disease

knowledge of the general concepts of orthopedics and traumatology

knowledge of the major tissues of the musculoskeletal system: anatomy-tissue biology and biomechanics.

The exam includes an oral exam consisting of a discussion focused to the evaluation of the level of knowledge, comprehension and synthesis achieved by the student as well as the evaluation of method, of language and exposure.
