and its division into interrelated subsystems, the institutional

Educational objectives The aim of the subject is the knowledge students about the public health
authorities system, its components and operating mode.
The main knowledge gained will be:
- The type of the existing public healthcare system in Italy and its evolution;
- The nature and functioning of the public healthcare organizations;
- The organizational setting in healthcare organizations, in its structural and operational aspects;
- The interpretation of the management of public healthcare
organizations, analyzed in the operations that characterize it and in the
values that they generate;
- The meaning and the method of calculation of income and capital of
public healthcare organizations;
- The procedures for identifying and achieving the economic and financial balance in the functioning of public healthcare organizations;
- The setting financial statements of public healthcare organizations.
The main skills will be:
- Understand the functioning of the Italian healthcare system;
- Identify the organizational solutions used in public healthcare;
- Interpret the economic and financial aspects of the operations public
healthcare organizations;
- Be able to understand the financial statements of public healthcare
organizations.
Prerequisites No specific prerequisites are required.
Teaching methods Face-to-face lessons.

organizations; innovation in modern healthcare organization. The subsystem of management in public healthcare organizations (the financing of public healthcare organizations; income and capital of public healthcare organizations; the relevance of the analytical results and the
application of marginalistic logic in public healthcare organizations) and
the subsystem of accounting and accountability in public healthcare organizations (the process of transformation of the accounting and control systems in public healthcare organizations; the internal control
management tools).

Learning verification modality the exams consists of a writtentest in form of multiple choice test. The test has a duration of 40minutes (30 questions). It is designed to evaluate the ability to correctly apply the theoretical knoledge and the understanding of the issues proposed.
