- Contents
- Compassion, piety, sympathy: the semantic universe of moral emotions is very rich. The course intends to present an in-depth analysis about the connection between human nature and human identity, on the one hand, and between emotions and politics going back to modernity and two authors in particular: Smith and Rousseau. The way they speak of pity and sympathy represents a small anthology of the way in which we can reconstruct the relationship between emotions and politics in the modern age without alternative to connection between passions, fear and politics.
