Contents
Subject of the course are the doctrines and traditions of philosophical
research as theory and critique of law.
Reference texts
H. Hofmann, Introduzione alla filosofia del diritto e della politica, Laterza, last edition.
Texts and documents of political and legal philosophy that will be shared during the course. Non-attending students are advised to supplement the study of Hofmann's Introduction with a textbook on the history of philosophy of law, such as Casadei-Zanetti, Manuale di Filosofia del Diritto (Giappichelli 2020), or Tincani, Filosofia del diritto (Loescher, ult. ed.)
Educational objectives
The aim of the course is to acquire the basic cultural tools for the critique
of law.
Prerequisites
A good basic knowledge of Western philosophy and history.
