Educational objectives
The course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills acquired by students during their university career as much as possible for the purpose of teaching Italian literature. It also aims to be an opportunity to reflect on the educational value of literature, on the possible centrality of humanistic and literary training in schools, and on the great changes underway in the approach to literature, inside and outside the school. Finally, an education in the critical use of the tools available for teaching: school textbooks, online sites, etc. Exercise to comment on poetic, narrative and argumentative texts.
Prerequisites
At least one Italian literature exam is required.
Teaching methods
Lectures, Videoprojections - LIM - Word Processing Programs - Distance Learning Platforms - Written and oral exercises. Approximately half of the course consists of laboratory lessons: each student is required to carry out his own report on an agreed subject, and to participate in the discussion on the works of others.
Other information
Alternative or non-attending programs must be agreed with the teachers.
Learning verification modality
Elaboration of a written paper. Oral exam.
Extended program
The first part of the course is dedicated to the current situation of the Italian and European school (teachers, students, school system).
The second part is dedicated to the specific teaching of literary texts.
The third part to the bibliographic and digital tools for teaching of literary texts, with particular attention to the recent experience.
