Examination regulations and grading scale
The grades for subject exams are measured in thirtieths (0-30 scale), the minimum grade is 18/30 and the maximum grade is 30/30. The maximum grade can be enhanced with “cum laude” (30 cum laude), in case of excellence. Grades are given by an exam commission of at least two teachers, whose President is the chair of the subject. The main exam sessions are held in January/February, March/April, June/July, September/October. Students may retake exams, if not passed. The University provides an ECTS Grading Table, which shows the actual distribution of the examination and final grades among students for each degree programme. The final degree evaluation is expressed in one hundred and tenths (0-110 scale), the minimum grade is 66/110 and the maximum grade is 110/110. The calculation of the final grade of each candidate takes into account the average of the grades obtained in the subject exams, as well as the quality of the work performed in research or in the final thesis which is discussed in public before an exam commission. “Cum laude” (110 cum laude) may be added to the maximum grade if the exam commission decides unanimously.
Obligatory or optional mobility windows
The mobility windows for outgoing students are those provided in the relative calls
Work-based learning
Curricular internship, structured over the three-year course, is carried out under an agreement with public and private companies. A necessary condition for the accreditation of the external internship is the specific training of professional tutors, carried out by the Degree Program within the University. The organizational management of the internship and the direct collaboration between the subjects involved in the training path, provides for the evaluation, expressed by professional tutors, according to an adopted reference standard. Furthermore, the training / refresher courses on professional tutoring, carried out periodically, make it possible to detect training needs and to evaluate the strengths and areas for improvement in the overall preparation of the formal and professional teaching activities. In this regard, the VII Course for Professional Tutors in TePAL training was held in September 2015 and a second edition was organized in the period November-December 2015 to meet the needs expressed. The feedback received from the thematic work sessions of the two courses confirmed the good consistency of the preparation of the students with the topics of the professional exercise addressed. The data is confirmed by the opinion expressed by the students on the internship with the score achieved by question D14 of the didactic evaluation test. The monitoring of the activity is carried out through operational meetings at the training centers of the affiliated offices and through the development of standardized sheets produced by professional tutors who evaluate the relational and behavioral skills as well as the professional attitudes of the trainees. Similarly, students fill in standardized forms for the evaluation of the internship, the work of the tutors and other operators of the structure. .
